Celebrations, Traditions and the Open Dinner Table

CELEBRATION, TRADITIONS, and the OPEN DINNER TABLE

November 24, 2011 – 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Mary Winspear Centre – Sidney, BC

Living over-scheduled and over-emailed lives often leaves little time or energy to make a personal connection, to share a family meal or to create a celebration.  Linda Hunter believes that what matters most in an ordinary life, is creating extraordinary moments, making celebrations happen, and sharing our food and our table with our community.  And it’s not about finding more time…we have all we are going to get. Join Linda as she shares her experience and ideas on the “Open Table”, creating Traditions, and Celebrating life.  “We won’t be remembered for what we owned, where we lived, or how much money we made; we will be remembered for what we gave, the memories we helped create, and the time we spent together.”  Rediscover the feeling of connection and community that sharing a meal brings and the joy that creating traditions and celebrations can offer, all while making lasting memories … the rest is just stuff!

Linda Hunter is an event planner and professional writer who is dedicated to service and open to possibility.  With over 20 years of conference and event planning experience, she is the author of “An Unforgettable After-Grad”, and has successfully produced five unforgettable After-Grad events for Parkland Secondary School.  Linda shares her heart and her home with her husband, her mother, and three grown children.
