  • Business & Professional Women’s Club of Victoria – The International Federation of Business and Professional Women, of which we are the local chapter, was founded in 1930 and has grown to host clubs in more than 100 countries around the world. • eWomenNetwork - At eWomenNetwork.com their vision is a vast network of female business owners and professionals all connected to each other. They want success-minded women to have easy access to each other’s skills, talents, knowledge and resources.  Their purpose is to support, promote and showcase our members’ products and services and help them achieve their professional objectives. They are a community of women who want to provide unlimited opportunities to transact business with women.  Their philosophy is that you must first and foremost give to others “first.” They believe that by giving and being “other-focused” you create a world of abundance for all. For them, networking is really the art of “giving” and searching for ways to serve the needs of others before focusing on ourselves. Their goal is to help female business owners and professionals achieve their goals. They want to support your growth by purchasing your products and services, provide you access to needed resources, and connect you with others who share your passion for achievement and prosperity.  They believe it takes teamwork to make the dream work! www.eWomenNetwork.com/chapter/victoria
  • Girls Night Mixer – Created and sponsored by Veronique da Silva, the goal of the Girl’s Night Mixer is to connect, empower and inspire — the gathering of passionate women in a space where they can freely share their experiences, insights and resources all while having fun and making meaningful connections. The mixers are a great resource for all women, particularly those with an entrepreneurial spirit seeking to expand their business network and get tips and support from peers to help their business grow! Women are your mothers and sisters, your friends, your mentors and your colleagues. They pick you up, they make you laugh, they show you the way, and they add beauty to your life.   The Girl’s Night Mixer, held a couple of times each year, is a proud supporter of Bridges for Women, a non-profit agency with over 20 years of experience in empowering women with a background of abuse and trauma. Part of the proceeds of each event goes directly to fund Bridges’ important work within the community.  http://girlsnightmixer.ca

  • Small Town Chicks is a membership made up of women in business living in small communities. It is a group that was formed to reflect the need for women on Salt Spring to have a connection with other like minded women. Through different focus groups and brainstorming sessions I learned that women over here feel segregated at times, lonely, they crave some intellectual conversation and from a business aspect they are wanting good information.   http://smalltownchicks.com/
